Privacy Policy
SnapKB
Last updated: August 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how SnapKB (“we”, “us”, or “the App”) handles information when you use our mobile application for compressing and converting photos on your device.
If you have questions, contact us at techja.dev@gmail.com.
1. Summary
SnapKB is designed for on-device photo compression.
- Photos you select are processed locally on your device.
- We do not operate a SnapKB server that receives or stores your photo library.
- Some optional product services (analytics, crash reporting, ads, remote configuration) may process limited device or usage data as described below.
2. Information we process
2.1 Photos and files you choose
When you use SnapKB, you may:
- Select photos through the system photo picker.
- Compress or convert those photos on your device.
- Keep compressed outputs in app storage (including recent compression history).
- Save outputs to your device gallery (with your permission).
- Share outputs through the system share sheet.
We do not upload your selected photos to SnapKB
servers.
Original photos, compressed copies, and related temporary files remain
on your device unless you export, share, or save them
elsewhere.
2.2 App storage and history
The App may store on your device:
- Compressed output files for a session or recent jobs.
- Local history metadata (for example job time, photo count, size summary).
- Local Premium entitlement state used by the App.
You can clear recent history in Settings / Home. Uninstalling the App removes app-private storage, subject to your operating system behavior.
2.3 Usage analytics
If Firebase Analytics is enabled for your build, we may collect anonymous or pseudonymous product events such as:
- App open
- Photo picker opened / photos selected (counts and sizes, not image content)
- Compression started, completed, or failed
- Result saved or shared
- Premium screen opened / purchase-related events
- Ad-related events (for example rewarded or interstitial shown)
These events help us understand feature usage and improve SnapKB. They are not intended to include the contents of your photos.
2.4 Crash and diagnostic data
If Firebase Crashlytics is enabled, the App may send crash logs and diagnostic information (for example device model, OS version, app version, stack traces) so we can fix stability issues.
2.5 Remote configuration
If Firebase Remote Config is enabled, the App may download configuration flags (for example ad or Premium feature toggles and free-tier limits). This does not require uploading your photos.
2.6 Advertising (free tier)
If you use the free tier and ads are enabled, Google AdMob (and Google’s advertising partners) may collect or process device advertising identifiers and related data according to Google’s policies, to show ads (including rewarded and interstitial ads).
SnapKB Premium is intended to remove ads when active.

2.7 Feedback you send
If you use Send feedback, the App may open your email client with a draft to techja.dev@gmail.com. Any message, optional reply email, and topic you include are provided by you and processed only to respond to your feedback.
2.8 Purchases
If you purchase or restore Premium through the Apple App Store or Google Play, payment is handled by Apple or Google. We receive entitlement or purchase status needed to unlock Premium features; we do not receive your full payment card details.
3. How we use information
We use the information described above to:
- Provide compression, conversion, save, share, and history features on your device.
- Enforce free-tier limits and Premium benefits.
- Show ads on the free tier (when enabled).
- Measure product usage and improve reliability.
- Respond to support requests.
- Comply with applicable law.
4. Legal bases (EEA/UK where applicable)
Where required, we rely on:
- Performance of a contract — to provide the App’s core features you request.
- Legitimate interests — to improve stability, security, and product quality.
- Consent — where required for advertising identifiers, analytics, or similar processing under local law / platform rules.
You may withdraw consent or limit tracking in your device settings where available.
5. Sharing of information
We do not sell your photos.
We may share limited information with:
- Service providers that power Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, or Ads (for example Google Firebase / AdMob), under their terms.
- App stores for distribution and in-app purchases.
- Authorities when legally required.
When you use Save to Gallery or Share, you choose where outputs go; those destinations are outside SnapKB’s control.
6. Data retention
- On-device photos / history: retained until you delete them, clear history, or remove the App.
- Analytics / crash / ads data: retained according to the relevant provider’s retention practices.
- Support emails: retained as needed to handle your request.
7. Security
We design SnapKB so photo compression happens on device. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. Protect your device with a passcode / biometrics and keep your OS updated.
8. Children’s privacy
SnapKB is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing, or to object / withdraw consent.
Practical controls in or around the App:
- Clear recent compression history in the App.
- Revoke photo / gallery permissions in system Settings.
- Limit ad tracking / reset advertising ID in system Settings.
- Disable or limit analytics where your OS or account settings allow.
- Upgrade to Premium to remove ads (when available).
- Contact techja.dev@gmail.com for privacy requests.
10. International processing
Analytics, crash, ads, and configuration providers may process data in other countries (including the United States). Where required, appropriate safeguards are applied by those providers.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
